Writing and Research

The South Got Something to Say is a feature story I wrote about Atlanta based rapper Aaronic. This story touches on underground rap culture and the importance of Atlanta based rappers to the global rap community.

Why Are Black Bodies Still the Butt of the Joke is a research paper I wrote about memes, gifs, and social media’s role in modern day minstrel culture. In this piece I challenge the idea that minstrelsy is an entertainment form of the past and instead suggest that the “art form” has just morphed and taken a different name.

Backpacks, Crayons, and Handcuffs is a persuasive paper I co-wrote about the school to prison pipeline. My group and I created a campaign to go with this written element.

This is a piece I wrote about the fast fashion industry. This piece details automation and its effects on human centered industries, such as the fashion industry. In this paper I explore multiple avenues where automation can help and also help this industry.

In this Cross Platform Strategy I compare small clothing retailer Radicals to large retailer Stussy in an attempt to move the smaller brand forward.  In this piece I analyze both brands and offer insight on social media trends, algorithms, and suggestions on how to create engaging content for the brand.

My group and I were tasked with building a community playground in an underserved Atlanta neighborhood. This a compilation of the budget, timeline, and project plan.
